Stretton on Fosse Village Hall was
built in 1991 and lies in the heart of the village, a stone’s throw from The
Plough Inn. It is an attractive hall with a 200 sq mtr semi-sprung floor
which is ideal for events involving dancing or children’s games. It has a
small stage, fully fitted kitchen and separate committee room/games room for
teenagers to play pool or table-tennis. We have a sound system and indoor
bowls/skittles which can be borrowed by hirers by prior arrangement. We will
shortly be acquiring a data projector and screen. |
 |
|
The hall can hold 110 for seated
functions and up to 220 for dancing. We have a substantial number of tables
and comfortable attractive chairs which make it an ideal venue for wedding
receptions, christenings etc. It also has up-to-date facilities for disabled
people, including wheelchair accessible access and a fully equipped disabled
toilet.

The hall has a substantial amount of
parking space and the French windows open on to a patio area which overlooks
a games pitch, used informally for football and other outdoor activities.
Beside the hall is a well-equipped and safe children’s play area Regular events in the village hall
include the Toddler Group which meets twice a week on Monday and Wednesday
mornings, dancing classes for children and adults every Monday evening, a
Life Drawing class once a week and meetings of the Silver Club. |
|
In addition to these, the hall is much in demand for
children’s parties and is regularly booked by local bands for rehearsals.
Every year, we host theatre or musical events for
children and adults under the umbrella of ‘Live and Local’ who help to bring
professional companies to rural areas.
We are hoping to hold rural cinema shows in the near
future under a new scheme to be run by Stratford District Council.
