News from the Village Hall
Chairman of the Village Hall Committee – Geri Hunting (662848) . · Live and Local Show 'Hood in the Wood' by Tangere Arts
This promises to be a delightful play based on the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood with music and lots of intriguing sound effects. After the show, children can get involved in an interactive workshop and 'take on ' the big bad wolf - if they dare! Little bit scary at times and lots of funny bits. Suitable for children aged 5+. Ideal for groups of children eg birthday parties or local Cubs/Brownies clubs.
Village Hall, Saturday, October 11th at 6.30pm. Adults £6.50, under 12s £4.50. Raffle (children’s prizes would be welcome – to Izzi Hazelwood (Hartwood)), teas and squash.

· Table-top Sale , Village Hall, Sunday, Sept 28th 2-5pm
Have a good clearout at the end of the summer and make some money! Tables to sell your wares - £7. Admission for purchasers - £1 (children 50p). Refreshments will be available and the girls from the Stretton Dance Group will parade your goods for sale on the catwalk. More details from Geri Hunting 01608 662848.
· New heaters for the hall: We have applied for a grant to buy and install the new heaters. The wall heaters are still working as are some of the ceiling ones. We expect to have them replaced by late October.
· New lighting rig: This will be paid for by the Stretton-on-Fosse Children’s Committee so that visiting entertainers can use their own lighting. Many thanks to the committee
· Rural Cinema: Look out for the first film to be shown in late October!

AND.... Ilmington United Football team would like to invite any boys and girls interested in joining this successful under 10's team. We train on a Wednesday evening from 6pm and matches against other clubs in the league are on Saturday mornings usually from 10am. If interested please contact Julie on 01608 662313.
